Kitchen waste team

The work contents of the kitchen waste team are to collect kitchen waste, and the kitchen waste is roughly divided into two categories: one is the kitchen waste for feeding pigs, and the other is the kitchen waste for compost. What is the kitchen waste for feeding pigs? It includes the cooked rice, noodles and vegetables, all kinds of meats, and even cookies and candies. As for the kitchen waste for compost, it probably includes vegetable residue, tea residue, peel, shell of shrimp and crab, as well as animal bones. In simple terms, the kitchen waste for feeding pigs is the kitchen waste that one can eat into the stomach, while the kitchen waste for compost is the waste that people can not eat into the stomach.

The methods of dealing with the ordinary household kitchen waste and community kitchen waste by the kitchen waste team staff are different.

As for the ordinary household kitchen waste, they will collect them with the kitchen waste collector along the streets. There are three buckets on the back of the collector: one bucket is used to collect the kitchen waste for feeding pigs, one bucket is used to collect the kitchen waste for compost, and the other is used to collect the plastic bags and garbage thrown by the public mistakenly.

The shaking of the collector during the trip is constant, and bags of household kitchen waste are separated, classified and poured in by their hands constantly. When the amount of kitchen waste in the bucket increases, they have to drag the slippery and heavy bucket into the carriage to be changed with the empty bucket so as to receive the non-stop people. In this way, the sweat streams down their back.

As for collecting the community kitchen waste, each community will cooperate with the kitchen waste team, and the community will arrange a place and a few buckets to collect the kitchen waste of the residents. After planning the entire driving route, the kitchen waste team staff will go to each community for collecting the kitchen waste in the first half day every day, and pour the kitchen waste in the bucket of the community into the empty bucket on the kitchen waste collector.

Buckets in the community have different sizes, of which there is a big bucket called “shell barrel” due to its big belly and its bucket belly is much larger than its mouth. Therefore, when the kitchen waste is poured out of the bucket, they are often stuck in the bucket mouth, then the staff need to pull out the stuck kitchen waste directly by hand, which is heavy, greasy and slippery, as well as very laborious and time-consuming. It is the nightmare of the kitchen waste team staff, so we hope our classmates and friends can suggest the communities they live in not to use this kind of bucket.

In the moving kitchen waste collector, safety is the most important. although the collector is slow, but the shaking still cannot be ignored, not to mention the spilled oil and soup in each treatment of kitchen waste, which is the biggest security problem under their feet. Therefore, they are tied with safety ropes, and the vehicle body is required to be equipped with safety measures to support them.

The bucket on the collector is very big. After it is full, it has to be moved. They are afraid of cracks after the bucket is used for a long time because oil and water will flow out of the crack quietly and make the place they stand be wet, then they are easy to slip. After the buckets are almost full, they have to move the buckets to somewhere else. The number of buckets they handle is at least 60 or 70 in one day, and they are so heavy!

In addition to the weight and security difficulties, the smell of the kitchen waste is also a great challenge! Think about how amazing is the amount of kitchen waste around them, and the air must be mixed with the acid smell of various food materials. Let us try to remember the unwashed lunch dishes in the summer night. The smell comes in without invitation, and sometimes the smell will still stay in the room after they are washed. However, we are happy because we can escape, but the kitchen waste team staff cannot escape!

We know there are still a few people who do not classify the kitchen waste and even carry garbage in their bags or buckets. We also know that some people can not tolerate the smell of their own kitchen waste, but they cannot understand how noble is the work of the kitchen waste team. We also know that although the students of our Cyberafir project make more efforts, it will not be able to keep up with the one percent of them.

Therefore, we sincerely hope that everyone can imagine their tiredness and feel their tiredness because we all know now.
