The Presentation Begins

Before the community achievement presentation, we took great pains to prepare all the objects. On that day, we were excited and expectant. We also hope that everyone can like the activities presented by us. Immediately we arrived in school, we stayed in the computer room to confirm them repeatedly; for instance, we need to confirm whether the edge of posters and word cards has been cut evenly. After the completion of the confirmation and preparation, we went to the activity center on Floor 5 step by step.

After reaching to Floor 5, we put up the posters and prepared the objects used for going through a pass within a short time and meanwhile cleaned the table and swept the floor. All the students have been ready and made preparations for the level they are responsible for to practice and simulate the real situation and they were waiting for the end of the community performance.

After we watched the wonderful community performance in Section 1 and Section 2, it was our turn to start working. We were originally filled with expectation that there would be many children going through a pass, but all the children watching the performance just now left and they seemed to have forgotton our existence. In this case, we lost our confidence. Luckily, our teacher told us that several classes would come later. Thus, we regained confidence. Subsequently, 2 or 3 classes really came, which made me recover my spirit and prepare to advertise to them with efforts. But in that instant, all the people turned round to run. I was puzzled and looked in that direction, and it turned out to be our strongest opponent “board game community”. Even if the students of other classes did not come to watch our performance, the service team beside us was impressive and they came to our side to play and supported us. Thus, we restarted to work again. At that time, we felt that superhuman strength was granted to us, so we began to advocate the activity by holding the advertising board here and there!

At the very start, I suddenly felt strange with all the things. We had practiced together with several classmates, but we still felt at a loss when faced with the children. Some children were excited to bounce about, but it seemed that some other students are obviously uninterested in the activity. Thanks to the help from classmates, I have gradually learned how to explain and advertise to children and my tone has also become stable slowly.

Jing-ting:

This is the first time for me to participate in the community achievement presentation. After I have experienced it personally, I realize that many things need to be prepared to organize the activity and it is not so easy as we have imagined. Although my performance has not achieved my expectation, I have learned lots of precious experience. It is believed that such experience will be the best driving force for my future growth.

Tze-hsuan:

As for me, the number of people actually makes no difference. When I see people, I still push the advertising board as before to introduce the activity to them. After I had introduced the activity to the first 2 teams, I was attracted by the repeated noise. I turned round and the breathtaking event occurred! Almost all the people assembled in the achievement presentation of our Cyberfair project, so we spared no effort to introduce the achievement to them and hoped that more and more people would come to our stall.

Tze-yi:

I cooperated with another team member to advertise the matters that Cleaning Squad hopes the public to coordinate. We pushed the big poster advertising boards and advertised to people. When I sometimes turned round to see how the female hosts did and they grinned from ear to ear and the children going through a pass also had a brilliant smile, which looks like a beautiful picture. On the contrary, my face is too serious to be natural. So I began to work hard and gather 3 or 4 children together to explain the poster contents to them carefully with the lively and cheerful tone. I became happy during the explanation and suddenly I had the power to “go ahead”.

Chia-yu:

The children going through a pass are happy to go through a pass. When we saw them, we naturally felt happy, too. Besides, when I explained the rules to the children, they were careful to listen to me. At that moment, I felt that my toil is worthwhile.

Ching-ya:

When I introduced the Luzhou Cup, I found that some children were abstracted and it may be because the contents are boring during the explanation. Probably, we should prepare some games or prize games. Thus, the children will feel it interesting to attract them to go through a pass in our activity.
